EXPERIENCE 

Liu Jingting is an expert with both intellectual property legal services and patent services. She has been in the practice for 20 years and is qualified as a Chinese lawyer and patent attorney. She is familiar with Chinese and foreign intellectual property laws and regulations, good at providing overall solutions for clients' intellectual property problems, and has a deep understanding and a broad view of the intellectual property industry. She has rich experience in the protection, portfolio planning, right confirmation and rights protection of enterprise’s intellectual property rights, and is especially good at the civil, administrative and criminal litigation of intellectual property rights such as patent, trademark, trade secret and other unfair competition disputes, as well as the handling of various litigation and non-litigation cases such as patent invalidation, FTO and contract disputes.

Ms. Liu Jingting has served many well-known clients in China and abroad, such as Filtran Group, Hiking Group, Shandong Minji New Material Technology Co., LTD., China University of Petroleum, Harbin Institute of Technology, China Institute of Electronic Technology Standardization, Wheel Pros, LLC, Daimler AG, China University of Geosciences, Carl Zeiss, Guodian United Power, Sysmex Corporation, Benesse Corporation, Dianhong Group, Techtronic Floor Care Technology Limited, Beijing Huanwei Group and Watsons. She has dealt with hundreds of patent applications and hundreds of intellectual property disputes.

Ms. Liu Jingting is currently an examiner of Beijing Lawyers Association and a member of the Intellectual Property Research Institute of Beijing Haidian District Lawyers Association.

TYPICAL CASES 

1. Assisted Hiking Group in dealing with the contract dispute of Lipogems Project in the arbitration case in United States, represented the client in a series of intellectual property disputes in China, and provided strong support for the client to completely solve the disputes and business operation problems.

2. Provided a client with comprehensive right protection services such as technical secret rights demonstration, infringement investigation, evidence collection, infringement identification and loss assessment for civil and criminal litigations.

3. On behalf of Shandong Minji New Material Technology Co., LTD., filed the third patent invalidation request for an invention patent of Nouryon, and the whole patent was declared invalid by CNIPA, which played an important role in promoting the settlement of infringement disputes between the two parties. 

4. Filed contract, patent, trademark, trade secret and other unfair competition rights dispute cases on behalf of Pacific Ocean United (Beijing) Petrochemical Co., Ltd, and provided comprehensive solutions and services to safeguard the rights and interests of the client. 

5. Filed a number of patent and trademark infringement lawsuits on behalf of Daimler, and handled related patent invalidation requests and defense cases. 

6. Representing Sysmex in several patent and trademark infringement lawsuits, and responding to the related patent invalidity defense. 

7. Represented a client in the field of construction engineering to win all patent ownership disputes, related patent invalidation requests and defense cases.

8. Filed or participated in trademark administrative litigations on behalf of many well-known enterprises in China and abroad such as Nestle, Shell, Total and Avon. 

9. Represented China University of Petroleum to respond to the request for invalidation of an invention patent, and maintain the validity of the whole patent successfully. 

10. Filed a second invalidation request on behalf of a client against a Pfizer patent for a compound to reduce the client's operational risk. 

11. Filed a patent invalidation request on behalf of Benesse Corporation, to safeguard the rights and interests of the client. 

12. Provided follow-up analysis of patent infringement risk for a foreign enterprise continuously for years. 

13. Provided FTO analysis services for a dental surgery equipment for a medical device company. 

14. Participated in an intellectual property due diligence of a pharmaceutical company conducted by a Chinese investment company. 

15. Participated in an intellectual property due diligence of a medical device company conducted by an international investment company. 

16. Participated in a due diligence service of an investment company for Chinese patents of a well-known contact lens company in Taiwan, China.
